Microtubule depolymerizer

Functions

Semisynthetic alkaloidal anticancer agent. Induces cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase by inhibiting mitotic spindle formation. Inhibits normal microtubule assembly and induces aberant tubulin polymerization1. Induces apoptosis in a variety of cell lines. Inhibits autophagosome maturation. Inhibits palmitoylation of tubulin.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml) or in Water (up to 50 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or distilled water may be stored at -20° for up to 1 month.
