Functions

Novel anti-cancer compound that activates early-stage integrated stress response, causing selective cancer cell death. Potently activates mitochondrial caseinolytic protease P (ClpP), resulting in eIF2α-independent induction of ATF4 and Akt/ERK/Foxo3a/DR5/TRAIL-dependent apoptosis. Currently in clinical trials.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml with warming), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20° for up to 2 months.
