VMAT2 inhibitor; stem cell – beta cell inducer

Functions

Potent inhibitor of the vesicular monoamine transporter (VMAT), IC50=3.2 nM with selectivity for VMAT2 over VMAT1. Promotes late stage differentiation of Pdx1-positive pancreatic progenitor cells into Neurog3-positive endocrine precursors.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 30 mg/ml), or in Ethanol (up to 9 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 week.
