Adrenergic antagonist; HSP90 activator

Functions

α1- and α2B-adrenoceptor antagonist (Ki = 3.3, 0.7, 1.1, 7.7, 1510 and 78.2 nM for α1A, α1B, α1D, α2B, α2A and α2C receptors respectively). Displays antihypertensive activity. Improves glucose and lipid metabolism in hypertensives. Displays antiangiogenic activity in human prostate cancer and endothelial cells. Activates Pgk1 and Hsp90 to promote stress resistance. Active in vivo.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in Water (up to 20 mg/ml with warming), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in distilled water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
