Functions

Antagonist of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF, a pro-inflammatory cytokine). Displays anti-inflammatory activity. Increases survival in severe sepsis. Inhibits airway remodeling in mouse asthma model. Blocks MIF-induced autophagy. Active in cellular and mouse models.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 months.
