Functions

Ansamycin antibiotic. Inhibits HSP90 and associated client proteins including v-Src, Bcr-Abl, Raf-1 and ErbB2. Reverts tyrosine kinase-induced oncogenic transformation without direct inhibition of phosphorylation activity. Inhibits angiogenesis in a rat retinopathy model.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 6 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
