Functions

Selective agonist of the lysophosphatidic acid – 2 (LPA2) receptor. Displays antiapoptotic activity. Rescues apoptotically condemned cells from death and injury caused by high-dose γ-irradiation in vitro and in vivo. Rescues mice from deadly levels of radiation when given 24 hours post-exposure. Activates the ERK1/2 prosurvival pathway.
