DNA damaging agent

Functions

Antitumor antibiotic. Induces DNA damage by intercalation and inhibition of topoisomerase II. Induces apoptosis in a variety of cell lines. Substrate for MDR1. Cell permeable.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in Water (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in distilled water may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
