Applications

ATP-sensitive potassium channel opener

Functions

Potent and selective ATP-sensitive potassium channel (KATP or Kir6) opener. Dose dependently prevents or suppresses hyperalgesia and allodynia in a sciatic nerve injury model. Displays ocular hypotensive and neuroprotective properties. Attenuates morphine chronic antinociceptive tolerance.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 40 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 10 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 3 months.
