Functions

A novel truncated analog of lipoxin A4 which retains anti-inflammatory activity.1 Inhibits LTB4-induced leukocyte chemotaxis, IC50=5 nM). Attenuates hemorrhagic shock-induced acute lung injury in a rat model. Displays hepatoprotective effects in acetaminophen-induced liver injury in mice. Limits inflammatory damage in the cerebral cortex and helps maintain blood brain barrier integrity in a rat model of ischemic stroke. Attenuates renal ischemia/reperfusion injury via activation of p38 MAPK/PPARα/HO-1 pathway.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
