Functions

BAY K8644 is an ionotropic agent that activates L-type calcium channels by prolonging single-channel open time without affecting closed time. It acts as a vasoconstrictor, and in combination with histone methyltransferase inhibitor BIX-01294 (#MC-1335), induces reprogramming of mouse embryonic fibroblasts transduced with Oct4/Klf4.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 25 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 25 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20°C for up to 3 months.
