Functions

AZD1152-HQPA is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of Aurora B. Aurora B Ki = 0.36 nM; Aurora A Ki = 1,369 nM. It inhibits the growth of tumors in multiple cancer models. Excessive ROS generation and upregulated tumor suppressor miRNAs have been proposed as a novel mechanisms of cytotoxicity of AZD1152-HQPA.
