Applications

GPR120 antagonist

Functions

Selective antagonist at free fatty acid receptor 4 (FFA4), also known as GPR120. pIC50s= 7.1 and <4.6 for FFA4 and FFA1 respectively. Inhibits linoleic acid and GSK137647A-induced intracellular calcium increase in U2OS osteosarcoma cells expressing GPR120. Has been used to probe the GPR120-mediated effects of fatty acids on a GnRH-synthesizing neuronal cell model.

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 50 mg/ml) or in Ethanol (up to 8 mg/ml with warming), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO or ethanol may be stored at -20° for up to 1 month.
