Functions

Improves obesity-related metabolic dysfunction in mouse models. Increases thermogenesis and weight loss, decreases steatosis and improves insulin sensitivity. Inhibits TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) and IKKε (IC50=1.2 μM). Clinically useful in the treatment of aphthus ulcers. Inhibits prostate tumor metastasis by targeting IKKε/TBK1/NFκB signaling.
